COSTA RICA – OASIS BETWEEN TWO OCEANS

A lush natural environment, the best coffee and a “rich coast” on two oceans. We present fascinating landscapes and everyday life in Costa Rica.

In Costa Rica locals greet each other by saying “pura vida” – pure zest for life. This pretty much sums the country up. A lush natural environment, the best coffee and a “rich coast” lining not one but two oceans – that’s Costa Rica. And amidst all this are people like farmer Alvaro who can only reach his peach-palms using a ropeway. Postman Andres almost needs the shrewdness of a detective because many streets and houses in the capital of San José have neither names nor numbers.  Addresses on letters and packages say things like “300 metres west of the police station under the plum tree” or “corner house painted pink”. Randy is a music teacher, his instrument the marimba. Its sound is typical of Costa Rica. Repairing the instrument has now become tricky. Marimbas are made of tropical wood and this is under strict protection order in the eco-aware country of Costa Rica. We present fascinating landscapes in impressive aerial shots and on the ground people and their stories that allow us an insight into everyday life in Costa Rica. A real zest for life – pura vida.
