Five veterans talk about their experiences of war and the process of adjusting to civilian life back home.

We follow five young veterans from Pittsburgh who served in Afghanistan and Iraq after 9/11. Joe, Torrie, Mike, James and Justin talk about their experiences of war and the process of adjusting to civilian life back home. Veterans make up only 2% of the US population, but they bear the physical and psychological burdens of all recent wars – a decade of trauma and injury. How can we make unaffected members of the population aware of the magnitude of this issue? How can veterans be reintegrated into society? The film combines audio interviews with visually unique observations of everyday life in the US, making the difficulties of adjusting to civilian life after the experience of war emotionally tangible to the audience.
