Meet our little heroes in South Africa, Jordan, Laos, Germany, USA and many other countries on their sometimes long and arduous, joyful and adventurous ways to school.

    Seven-year-old Zakhar lives in the remote north of Siberia. This year, a teacher is moving in with his family to homeschool him. With the vast, snow-covered tundra as its backdrop, the film observes Zakhar’s family’s everyday activities – herding reindeer and fishing are their principal livelihoods.

Can film work relieve suffering or even provide hope? A group of 7 young filmmakers from Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Germany, Colombia and Iran were selected to tackle these questions.

Caesareans save lives, but in some countries more children are born by c-section than vaginal delivery. We look at the medical and social consequences of this global trend in Germany, France, Brazil and China.

    Sun Village is the name of a refuge for Chinese children whose parents are serving time in prison. With no one to look after or feed them, Sun Village is a home until their parents are released. A unique project that aims to achieve a better future for China.
